Safety
General safety regulations are posted inside the range & range-specific regulations are posted at each range. Safety is everyone's responsibility and any violations should be reported immediately to an Officer of the Club. Updated December, 2009.
General Range Regulations

Shooting from 9am to sunset, Sundays 1pm to sunset.

Electronic Access; one vehicle per gate open/close cycle.

Ear and eye protection is mandatory.

Must visibly display Membership ID Badge when on Club property.

You may bring up to three guests but you are responsible for them & they must be with you at all times.

Always consider firearms to be loaded and handled accordingly.

Avoid shooting alone if possible.
-
Designate one person as range officer.
-
Recommend you have a cell phone with you.

Put all trash in trash cans
-
No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the range at any time

Record names & rounds fired on log at each range used.
-
Hunting is not permitted at any time.
-
Incendiary, armor piercing and tracer ammunition are not permitted on the range.

Ammunition larger than .45 caliber & fully automatic firearms require special authorization.

When going down-range make all firearms safe & no handling of firearms when anyone is down-range.

Remove all used targets& place in trash cans.

25 yard & falling plate range
-
Pistols only.
-
No full metal jacket ammunition on falling plate range.
-
Plinking range – NO glass – Clean up targets.

Place targets on backers provided.
-
Never raise the muzzle of a loaded firearm above the berm.

Load only when on the firing line facing the target.
-
Pick up brass and put in designated cans.
-
Maximum caliber firearm permitted is .45 Cal unless otherwise permitted by the Safety Officer.

No fully automatic firearms.

Record all names & rounds fired at logging station.
50 yard range
- Rifle, pistol and shotgun.
- No clay targets allowed.
- Plinking range-no glass - clean up targets.
- Place targets on backers provided.
- Never raise the muzzle of a loaded firearm above the berm.
- Load only when on the firing line facing the target.
- Pick up brass and put in designated cans
- Maximum caliber firearm permitted is .45 Cal unless otherwise permitted by the Safety Officer. This does not apply to muzzle loading firearms.
- No fully automatic firearms except by special permission.
- Record all names & rounds fired at logging station.
100 yard range
- Rifle, pistol slug guns.
- Plinking range - no glass - clean up targets.
- Place targets on backers provided.
- Never raise the muzzle of a loaded firearm above the berm.
- Load only when on the firing line facing the target.
- Pick up brass and put in designated cans
- Maximum caliber firearm permitted is .45 Cal unless otherwise permitted by the Safety Officer. This does not apply to muzzle loading firearms.
- No fully automatic firearms except by special permission.
- Record all names & rounds fired at logging station.
Shotgun range
- No pistols, rifles or slug ammunition.
- No shot larger than 7 1/2
- Action open and empty when handling guns, and
barrels pointing up when walking.
- Break action guns may be closed when in the rack.
- Load only when on the firing line facing down range and it is your turn to shoot.
- No tracking of targets behind the firing line.
- Load only one round at a time unless shooting doubles.
- Pick up empty shells and put in designated cans.
- Steel plate can be used for patterning lead shot only 71/2 & smaller.
- Record all names & rounds fired at logging station.
