NRA Action Pistol TARGETS: (6) 8” Round White Metal Plates, spaced one foot apart, edge-to-edge. EQUIPMENT: GUNS; Any Rimfire or Centerfire Pistol 45 caliber or smaller SIGHTS; Any sights, except sights projecting an image on the target (Lasers) are prohibited. AMMO; NO FULL JACKETED AMMO. Lead bullets 260 grains or smaller and jacketed hollow point or soft point ammo 250 grains or smaller are allowed. TRIGGERS: Release triggers are prohibited. COURSE OF FIRE: Competitors must fire all stages in the standing position. This course is divided into four (4) stages; each stage will have two (2) strings of six (6) shots per string. 48 shots in total. Target must be knocked down to score as a hit. The starting position will be with the handgun loaded and held at a 45 degree angle to the ground. a) 10 yards – 6 shots in 6 seconds, 2 strings b) 15 yards – 6 shots in 7 seconds, 2 strings c) 20 yards – 6 shots in 8 seconds, 2 strings d) 25 yards – 6 shots in 9 seconds, 2 strings In the event of a tie, a sudden death shoot off will take place, starting at 10 yards.
